That’s a good question, cause I’m trying to find the answer! I think black men are intimidated by a successful black women, they feel like they need to be the dominant one in the relationship so when they find a BLACK woman who has it going on they turn the other way for a woman, white or black, who could use some help! Woman aren’t the only ones with insecure issues, cause if guys weren’t they wouldn’t be scared of a successful BLACK woman!

If you ask a black man that same question without a hostile undertone, you may find that some black men men find successful goal-oriented women very attractive. I was just speaking to a few young college men about what they find beautiful in women, and surprisingly success was one of them. The explanation for why they saw success as beautiful was that it shows that the woman has passion and strength, and that she won’t just settle for whatever life puts in her lap. There’s hope for us college educated women after all!

Cool I agree with that last comment. And the reason why Black men feel. Wait let me say a strong black man like myself would like a woman to be my back bone is because I am more influenced by society than a black woman is. That is when I was younger. Eve though I was raised how to treat a woman by a strong black woman. Most young black men were not. Coming up as a Black man we have to hold our own because there is no one to teach us how to deal with black men in our streets. So older now, say I walk with my woman in front of me and follow her around the mall, or on the board walk. Me, or most of the time my woman will be approached by another man that knows for a fact that he can take my woman away from me. Men walk behind you will get tested. A woman can not protect a man from that danger. It is always present and whether you woman are willing to admit it or not it is reality. The strongest survives. And as far as being intimidated by a successful black woman, yes some men are. Because that is just something else a woman can hold over your head to be able to tell you what to do and how she wants it done. Woman be strong but learn how to be humble to. Because us as men need our ego stocked. NOW I AM NOT SAYING BE NIEVE. KNOW WHO YOU ARE DELING WITH. But be supportive. (Not money wise. Back bone wise!!)

well sometimes it could also be the fact that how a lot of people were raised, the man should be THE HEAD OF THE HOUSHOLD. its not necessarily true, but its how some people are raised, believe me, its not just black men, it just seems more obvious because the majority of black men “seem more blunt” about it.
and as far as black men vs. women… ive noticed that more often than not, black women have more spunk and sassiness. i like that, but not all men do, i want a woman that will stand up for herself reguardless of what its for. if its with me or against me, as long as she stands up for herself, it shows that she is strong and confident in what she believes. inner strength is an attribute that i hold in high reguard. some men dont liek it so much, some like to control their women and sadly enough, are too lazy to put in the effort to respect a woman enough to earn the right to protect and control her without demeaning her. im not saying in any way that white women dont have spunk, so ladies please do not get me wrong. i said that in no way shape or form, i said more often than not black women do and it is very dominate. please forgive me if i offended annyone by that comment.
And just so you know, I am a white young man who grew up in a very male controlled family, i didnt agree with it at times, but when you are brought up a certain way, you have to roll with the punches and change them when you have the power to do so.

I don’t see the big deal. There were times I made more money then my man but I still gave his respect (he was very proud of me). He’s my man and we work together. We are on the same team. I can take care of myself, but I let him take care of me when he needs to, because it allows him to feel he can provide for me. It’s not sexy to be too bossy for any gender, I’m internally comfortable within myself but he adds to me. I love and adore him for that.

Not much has changed in today’s society because many of black women are single parents. So naturally, black women are used to stepping into a man’s shoes, and being the sole provider.

That person who can not handle it can not do so because their “game”(mind) isn’t strong enough to figure out a reason why the other person SHOULD stay with them. It’s not a man/woman issue. It’s an esteem issue. Many people need someone there that they feel needs them in some way. This is the same reason why many successful people get cheated on by their mate. They don’t feel **needed**. Me, I’m a successful young black guy, but I really don’t put much emphasis on relationships anymore. I gave up on them years back, but I do watch people. I’m comfortable and probably will die lonely and paid

I think that sometimes when women are successful they tend act as if they don’t need a man. I can do it myself attitude. I’m so strong I don’t need a man and then in the relationship they try to go at it like they would a job instead of a relationship. I say be strong at work but more passive at home put your man first in the relationship. A man loves a women more when he can wear the pants in the relationship. Black men has some issues with females in general, No father figures in the house hold has left us feeling loss. It hard for us to deal with any women base on the fact that we have psychological issues with our mothers. She had to be both mother and father to our children. Speak for yourselves, I’m a 23 year old black male and I was raised by mom and my pops who’ve been married for 25 years and my mom earns more money than my pops. My mom is a strong black woman and my pops a strong black man they are a single cohesive team.

I really want to believe that our black men will find their way to black women. We are readily available to love them and give them what they need; they just need to stop running.From my experience, it seems that men in general who are afraid of being in relationships or marriages with black women are the ones who have mamma issues. Maybe they weren’t close to their mother’s and had alot of issues within the family relations.Or perhaps they were very close to their mother’s, and want a woman to play this role; which isn’t realistic. All I know is I was just in a predictiment where I was getting to know a guy and all he could think about was sex. He had the uttermost fear of committing himself to me. As soon as he found out that I was about something, he up and turned away. This is a problem that speaks volumes in the black community. He was fine when I told him I had a bad job situation, but as soon as things started letting up and job interviews came around, he just turned away from speaking to me. Pretty sad, but I know that I’m not gonna sit here and wait on thebrothas to scoop me. No way, no how! Sistas let’s wake up and realize that there are more fish in the sea. I’m a physician and only attracted to successful highly-paid women. The only problem is I’m afraid of the attitudes of these women. While these women can be great doctors and lawyers and accountants, they may not be the best wives and mothers. The bible says that men are to be the head of the household and women are to be submissive to their husbands. (Ephesians 5:22-24) However, many black women have a hard time even speaking the word “submissive.” Black women have overcome tremendous battles. Because of everything that we have had to endure, we have grown strong and proud. First and foremost I need to say hello to all the BLACK WOMEN for you are the strongest of Wombed-Man that Yahweh created and white women of today were black women of the past, all people come from the dark race which is label Negro. I am a black man married to a white lady and I have come to see the difference between the two, the white women here in Europe (Which is African in origin) have no since of strength or goals and surely they don’t know how to respect there god part the Man. White women are really sneaky two and have sex like it is a hand shake and most of all they fear the black WOMEN, they say they are racist and ghetto, but I say you seem to watch the black WOMEN a whole lot to try and trip them up with your own racist comments. Now to the black WOMEN they have lasted and still live after a 600+ year Holocaust of the black race, they have lived even after the rape of black women by white men and every black man that has a white women knows that if he runs into a black women who loves him he will leave the white lady in a heart beat, for the mere fact is that are hearts beat together. See white people have it wrong, black men don’t fear strong black women, we love our people and always will, that’s why when a black man is with a white women if he sees a black women and she looks like what are you doing he will surely feel wrong in his action and that is because our souls are linked together in this war for our life. @ Lonnie. Don’t believe the hype son. The only black women I ever known in my life not to cheat are my sister and my grandmother. Every single black woman I’ve ever encountered in my life other than those two cheat, so do asians, italians, hispanics every demographic has cheaters just like there are good and bad white people, black people, italians and hispanics. The only reason I’m considering filtering my black relationships (friends etc..) with rigid criteria is because I’ve encountered more unhealthy relationships with and between blacks than any other demographic that I’ve been exposed to. Even though your white woman cheats, I don’t know how she treats you and how you let her treat you but black women treat a good black man like shit that’s about 85% accurate, 5% of the remaining 15% treat good black men well and the final 10% treat a good black man indifferently and hide portions of their personalities from them. Maybe your white woman hangs around too many black women?

Black women trying to lead the relationship/marriage is absolutely disgusting. A woman’s greatest ability is being able to nourish and care for their families. Nourishment comes in many forms, physically, mentally, spiritually. Women have abilities that men do not have, yet many black women insist on becoming surrogate males and trying to be the dominate factor in the relationship.
This is something that does not work and can’t work unless the black woman’s man is just in there for sex and not to actually provide for her in all aspects of life. Now when women hear submit they make it seem like they are going into slavery. But true submitting isn’t the surrendering of your will, your desires, your needs or anything. Its not becoming a slave to the man’s desires. But its submitting to the man’s field of energy and working within what is being provided and bringing it to the next level.
A man who ignores is woman’s emotional, physical and mental needs, desires and thoughts is not a man. But a animal who just wants to get sex out of the woman. A real man provides for his woman on all levels of being, not just sexually. And that too is a problem with men of all races today. They don’t understand how to provide for their wives. Its not just a problem with women trying to take the dominate position of the relationship but its also men not understanding nor caring to provide for their wives nor understand them.

Me personally as a Black Man have no problem or issues with my lady making more than me because at the end of the day it benefits me also, however by my faith I believe a man should lead in a relationship that extends to any race though. I also think a real man listens to his lady and takes her thoughts to heart. The real question it seems to me is Do these men respect these women?

I am with a white man and I make more money then him and he has no problems with my success. I know how to let him shine and he knows how to let me. I didn’t get with him because of any issues with white men, I got with him because before I had all I have, he wanted to be with me. I am about 5ft4 and I way 165 pounds so I am not small by Americas standards. He is about 6ft3 and ways about 155 pounds. We are opposites and not all white men want skinny women. We are going to be getting married in a year and yes I have met his family. First off, there aren’t enough successful goal oriented black men to go around. The media has alot of black men thinking they have to be thugs, so black women you should start expanding your options, not because you hate or dislike black men but because the odds of finding a good quality man is obviously against you. There are more black women to men.
